About - Nadine Luise Wache

Nadine Luise Wache (b. 1987) is a photographer living in Kuranda, Far North Queensland, Australia. Born and raised in Berlin, Germany, she moved to Australia in 2010 and works primarily with analogue photography and alternative image-making processes.

Her practice often reflects on belonging, loss and how her understanding of home has shifted over time.

Drawing on personal experience, observation and her own family archive, she explores what endures across distance and how the stories we inherit shape our sense of self. The intimate spaces of family life and motherhood are central to this ongoing dialogue.

Moving between the personal and the post-documentary, Wache uses photography to question what remains, what is lost and what might be.
